All-in-one desktop computers save space and look great, but they lack customization options that traditional desktops offer. If you don’t mind the trade-off Dell has announced their new all-in-one, the Optiplex 3011.
This AIO model will be powered by Microsoft’s Windows 8 operating system and will feature Intel 3rd generation Core i5 quad-core processors. Other specs include support for up to 8GB of RAM, a 20” WLED 1600×900 monitor with an optional projected capacitive touchscreen, a 1TB HDD with options for SSDs, a built-in webcam, an Ethernet LAN port and WiFi.
IT managers will have an easy time managing the Optiplex 3011 through Dell KACE and Dell Data Protection Encryption software. The Optiplex 3011 will also be able to connect to the Dell Cloud Desktop, and the system and packaging use recycled material. The Optiplex 3011 will be available on Dell’s website starting at $649 soon.
