Fans have been eagerly waiting and now Sony has revealed more details about its upcoming PS4 megagame, Death Stranding, which arrives on November 8th. The action game seems to be about making connections, maybe with a multiplayer element. You’ll have to reconnect “isolated cities and a fragmented society.”
“It is created so that all elements, including the story and gameplay, are bound together by the theme of the ‘Strand’ or connection,” Kojima said. “As Sam Porter Bridges, you will attempt to bridge the divides in society, and in doing create new bonds or ‘Strands’ with other players around the globe. Through your experience playing the game, I hope you’ll come to understand the true importance of forging connections with others.”
While your mission is to reconnect a broken America, there will be challenges like separatist groups who want cities to remain independent. There are monsters that grasp onto Sam as well as undead soldiers too. It won’t be easy. A fetus Sam carries around in a jar strapped to his chest seems to help him detect threats. That sounds like a unique and interesting game to me.
Fans have been hearing the hype and now we have a date for when it will arrive on the PS4.
