Some people guard their privacy and don’t want a candy maker tracking them down. Sounds only fair to me. I just want some chocolate, I don’t want to be bothered. Well, if you are in the UK, be aware that Nestle’s new marketing campaign, called “We Will Find You,” has embedded six GPS trackers in popular candy such as Kit Kat bars.
They are trying to be all Willy Wonka and coming off more like that creepy uncle your family doesn’t talk about. When you open one of the winning candy bars, you won’t know until Nestle tracks you with the embedded GPS activated by the unwrapping.
There’s nothing quite like a PR representative tracking you down. Of course the up side is that you’ll receive a check for £10000.(about $16000)
