What with all of the stories we are hearing about people doing stupid things to get GTA 5, it is almost as if the real world has become the game’s setting. People are just crazy. Rohan Dawkins, from Delray Beach, Florida is a student at a local ACCESS program for adults with disabilities. He works hard and so he saved his money to purchase a copy of GTA 5. Then a married couple punched and kicked him and stole it.
Yeah, people are real low lives when it comes to this game. In fact, I can’t remember ever seeing a game launch that brought out this level of inhumanity in people. I guess you are what you play for the most part. People need to take it easy. No game is worth the behavior that this one seems to be bringing out in people.
Anyway, thanks to media coverage, some locals are offering to help Dawkins. He has already picked up a replacement copy thanks to one of his fellow ACCESS students. He also had additional offers for assistance, including a GameStop that claimed they will give him a collectors edition of GTA V. Another anonymous local intends to purchase an annual bus pass for Dawkins since he takes the public transport in order to commute to and from his job. Both suspects in the robbery, Tommy Davis and Adele Jones, have already been arrested.
These people? The one’s offering all that help and kindness? This is how you should act people. Stop acting stupid in order to get a video game. You are the ones giving gamers a bad name. Be like this guy Dawkins and work with some adults who have disabilities. Make a difference in your community and stop wasting space in it.
