Many fans of HBO TV shows like Game of Thrones would like to get access to HBO Go without having to subscribe to traditional cable television. The problem is that HBO hasn’t offered the ability to purchase its network as a streaming channel only. However, if you live in an area served by Comcast, the cable provider has a new deal that you may be interested in.
Comcast has announced its new Internet Plus service which costs $39.99 per month for 12 months with no term contract. For that price, you will get fast Internet service and access to 300,000 Wi-Fi hotspots, the service also comes with HBO and local channels including NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox. Access is available for any of your Internet connected devices from any room.
You also get access to on-demand TV shows and movies from Xfinity On Demand. There is a downside however. The first year is about $40 per month, but the price increases after that. When 12 months are over, the service will apparently cost about $70 per month. There are no long-term contracts, so luckily for you, you can subscribe and use the service while it’s $40 per month and then cancel before the price goes up. It sounds pretty good. What do you think? This could end up saving you some money.Filed Under: Technology News
