They just can’t seem to get any Steve Jobs movies right. We’ve already gotten two Steve Jobs biopics and in general people see them as not very good. Maybe it’s a case of nerd expectations being too high. Well, if you are looking for a better Jobs movie, there is still a Steve Jobs biopic in the works, the as yet untitled movie being made by “The Social Network” writer/director duo Aaron Sorkin and David Fincher.
Rumor has it that Christian Bale is the frontrunner to play Steve Jobs. Bale apparently hasn’t actually been approached for the role yet, although he has been rumored to be a contender since before there was even a script. This biopic from Sony has been in the works for the past three years since soon after Steve Jobs died.
Aaron Sorkin was signed first to adapt Walter Isaacson’s biography into a movie about Jobs’ life, and David Fincher was added to the project after that. The pair were responsible for the Facebook movie, which received mixed reviews. Hopefully Bale will indeed be cast for the role, because you can’t miss when you have that kind of acting talent. Bale throws himself into every role.
