The CERV bike may just be a concept, but I sure hope they make some one day soon. The Continuously Ergonomic Race Vehicle, or CERV, allows the bike to adjust to suit the road conditions that you are riding on. Sounds pretty awesome.
To give the rider the perfect posture, the answer is pretty simple. The CERV’s seat raises up and the handle bars move forward for pedaling power when climbing uphill, then move in the opposite directions for maximum aerodynamic performance on downhill rides. Like I said, simple.
However, this means that the traditional fork steering in the front wheel wasn’t possible. Instead there is a steering mechanism that turns the wheel with a linkage embedded in the frame. I would love to try it out.
