Resident Evil 7 is gearing up to be the latest release in the Resident Evil franchise, and it has been a while since we last had a new Resident Evil game released. So everyone is looking forward to this installment.
From gameplay footage we’ve seen, the game looks like a really huge change from previous Resident Evil releases and it looks amazing. Capcom thinks so too and is very confident in this title, because speaking to MCV UK, Capcom’s EMEA marketing director Antoine Molant has said that the company is hoping that they will be able to sell as many as 4 million copies of the game on launch day.
That is a bold goal and will be a remarkable feat if they can pull it off. Molant said, “Ideally, we’d love to sell 4m on Day One globally. That would be great. Looking at what we see in the pre-orders and trends these days, we’re pretty confident we are going to get there. All the signs that we have seen across the market, whether it’s from the UK or from other territories, are very positive so far. We’re not sitting back and relaxing at all because we want to push that. The confidence is there.”
Resident Evil 7 will release on January 24th, 2017 and will be available across multiple platforms, even virtual reality. It should be great.
