Mega Man fans are having a great day. That’s because Capcom’s Mega Man 2 and Mega Man X playable game cartridges are available now from iam8bit’s online store for $100 each. So if you put in a pre-order for either, or for both, back in May, they’ll be making their way to your house now. Can you feel the excitement? I can.
These cartridges are limited to just 8,500 units each and will be sent to you in one of two colors: Opaque Light Blue (7,500 units per game) and Translucent, Glow-in-the-Dark Blue (rarer at 1,000 units). The one that you get is totally random, so I hope you love surprises. I hope you get a rare.
There are some slight differences in the packaging of both games though. Mega Man 2 comes with an instruction book with a foreword by author Salvator Pane (His book Mega Man 3 covers the history of the franchise and video game collecting), while X’s booklet has a foreword by YouTuber Jirard Khalil. Both arrive just in time for Mega Man’s 30th anniversary and days ahead of Mega Man 11’s arrival on consoles and PC. It is a great time for Mega Man fans. What a way to celebrate.
Other recent releases include Capcom’s Street Fighter II and the new Fork Parker’s Crunch Out for the SNES. Awesome news.
