Recently we learned that the next Call of Duty game is going to be based on the events of the second World War. Activision and Sledgehammer Games have already released an official trailer for Call of Duty: WWII.
So now fans of the franchise eagerly await more information about the title. One bit of new info is that Michael Condrey of Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that there will be playable female soldiers in multiplayer mode.
Playable female soldiers first showed up in the franchise back in 2013 when a multiplayer update for Call of Duty Ghosts added them to the game. Infinity Ward was the studio behind that game and it finally added playable female characters to the game, which came long after games like Gears of War and Halo added them.
This will be good news for female players who like the game. Condrey confirmed this in response to a tweet on Twitter that asked if Call of Duty: WWII multiplayer mode is going to have playable female characters. More information about this title will be released at E3 2017 this June. That’s also when the multiplayer will be shown off so I know that fans can;t wait for that. It will be a fun game.
