Call of Duty fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming addition to this long-running franchise. Developer Sledgehammer has actually confirmed several details about the title, including the fact that the game’s Zombies mode is going to be “based on real events.” What? Zombies are real?
Sledgehammer head Glen Schofield said that Call of Duty: WW2’s Zombies mode is going to include “really authentic stuff” and that it would be “based on real events,”. I think it’s safe to say that the events in Zombies mode will be fictional but they will take place in the context of real events from WW2.
So no there were no zombies in the second world war. Just so we are clear. It will be interesting to see how the fictional events of Call of Duty: WW2 play out in the context of real historical events during the second World War. I can’t wait to see what they do.
Call of Duty: WW2 will be released in November for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is available for pre-order right now. We will likely hear more about it at the E3 2017 gaming convention later this month. It sounds good so far. What do you think?
