There’s no confirmation about this yet, but the rumor is that a Call of Duty game for the Nintendo Switch might be in development. The rumor is based on an image posted online by a developer that has previously worked on both a remaster of a Call of Duty title and a platform port.
The image seems to suggest that Call of Duty: WWII might be released for the Nintendo Switch. Which would be great news for Switch fans.
The image showed up on Twitter posted by Beenox, which has worked on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Modern Warfare Remastered. It shows members of the team with representatives of the Canadian Army. The tweet specifically mentioned “COD.” That’s it.
That’s all there is to go on at this point, but it has fans hopeful for COD for the Switch.
There’s no official confirmation about anything just yet so take it with a grain of salt for the moment. For all we know, Beenox could have been tasked with developing an entirely new Call of Duty game just for the Nintendo Switch. I guess we will find out soon enough what is going on.
