It’s probably been awhile since you played the original Call of Duty: Black Ops on Xbox 360. It was released several years ago and was very popular at the time of course. It’s a Call of Duty game after all.
And since Xbox One has the ability to run Xbox 360 games, I know that many fans have been wishing that it would become compatible with Xbox One, and now it has.
Major Nelson confirmed the news that the original Call of Duty: Black Ops game is now backwards compatible on Xbox One. It actually became very obvious before that, since a listing was spotted on the Xbox 360 dashboard which revealed that “COD: Black Ops – Now Plays on Xbox One.” At the time, it appeared that the listing had gone live ahead of schedule, but then Microsoft’s Major Nelson officially confirmed that the game can in fact now be played on Xbox One.
So the title is now mentioned in the list of backwards compatible titles for Xbox One. As a side note, if you are having issues installing Call of Duty: Black Ops from disc, it is mentioned that you should restart the Xbox and try again. This will make the issues go away. Fans have waited and now they can play the title again on the Xbox One.
