It hasn’t been confirmed yet when the 2018 addition to the Call of Duty franchise is going to arrive. According to one industry insider, this year’s title is going to be called Call of Duty Black Ops 4. This insider also mentions that the title will make its way to the Nintendo Switch too.
The new title is said to offer a “boots on the ground” experience, so it sounds like jetpacks and other high-tech items will be out.
These predictions come from industry insider Marcus Sellars who said on Twitter that the 2018 Call of Duty title is going to be called Black Ops 4 and it’s going to be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox, PC, and the Nintendo Switch.
Sellars does have a good track record of predicting what might happen before it has actually happened. His most recent predictions that turned out to be accurate were related to Dark Souls and Nintendo Labo.
The game is apparently set in modern times, so we shouldn’t expect to see futuristic machinery. The Nintendo Switch version of the title is said to have support for DLC and unique features like HD Rumble and motion controls. Take it with a grain of salt for now. No doubt we will hear more reports about the 2018 Call of Duty game very soon.
