Designer Param Kumar based in the United Kingdom has created and launched a new pair of bone conduction wireless headphones aptly named Bone 1.0. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the truly wireless, open ear, bone conduction headphones that also compatible with in-ear hearing aids with no audio loss.
The Bone 1.0 Wireless headphones are now available to back via Kickstarter with early bird pledges available from £70 and worldwide shipping expected to start during March 2019 if production progresses smoothly.
“The air-conduction (AC) pathway is the normal hearing mode, in which acoustic environmental signals entering the ear canal cause eardrum vibrations to transmit through the middle ear and the cochlear fluids that in turn excite the sensory cells located on the delicate cochlear tissues. An alternate mode of hearing is through the bone-conduction pathway, where vibrations of the skull cause the cochlear fluids to be stimulated directly.”
“Say hello to Bone 1.0 by Empyrean. Minimal and utterly gorgeous. An open-ear, lightweight headphone delivering high quality sound to the avid listener using Bone Conduction Technology. The open-ear technology priorities safety by leaving the sensitive ear canal open to any surrounding sounds allowing for situational awareness and ear drum safety. “
