BlackBerry confirmed that it would be bringing its BlackBerry 10 OS to the BlackBerry PlayBook back in early 2012 with a release some time later this year. Sadly, BlackBerry PlayBook owners can just forget the idea of BlackBerry 10 for their tablet. BlackBerry’s CEO has just killed it.
BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins confirmed the cancellation of BlackBerry 10 on the BlackBerry PlayBook. The reason for the cancelation was Heins’ dissatisfaction with the level of the experience. So he made the “difficult decision” to put a stop to the project. Now resources can be streamed back to BlackBerry’s smartphones.
This news is quite a surprise since BB10 would have given the tablet a nice boost.
