Black & Decker has just launched the Gyro 4V Max and they are calling it the “world’s first motion-activated screwdriver.” This new model has an InvenSense MEMS gyroscope inside. That means that all you have to do to change the direction or speed is rotate your drilling hand.
In the world of power screwdrivers this is big news. If that isn’t enough for you, this model also has a Lithium-ion battery that stays charged for as long as 18 months. Pretty cool.
It may not be Doctor Who’s Sonic Screwdriver, but it looks pretty good. It’s just $40. Your toolbox will feel good to have this inside of it.
