We learned a few months ago, that BioShock would be getting a remaster in the form of BioShock: The Collection.
Of course consoles will support the game, but for PC gamers, if you are unsure if your PC can support the game, the folks at 2K have published the system requirements that you will need if you want to run the game perfectly.
Starting with the minimum hardware requirements, you will need Windows 7 or better, an Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 processor clocked at 2.66GHz, or an AMD Athlon X2 clocked at 2.7GHz. 4GB is the minimum amount of RAM required, and you will need at least 70GB of hard drive space. As far as GPU, you will need a DirectX11 Compatible AMD Radeon HD 7770 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560. If you already meet all these requirements, you are good to go, but may want to match 2K’s recommended system specs.
That would include a quad-core processor clocked at 3GHz, at least 8GB of RAM, 80GB of free hard drive space, and for GPUs, a 2GB ATI Radeon HD 7970, 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 or better. The PC version of BioShock: The Collection will be released on the 15th of September. Only a few days away.
