We all knew that Bethesda was going to announce Dishonored 2 during its E3 2015 press conference. It was a given. But we didn’t think they would make a mistake and reveal its existence a day early. Oops. Just hours before its press conference at E3 2015 is Los Angeles, Bethesda accidentally confirmed Dishonored 2.
Dishonored 2’s presence at E3 2015 has now been confirmed through what appears to be an error broadcasting on the official Bethesda stream on Twitch. Hey, at least they didn’t mess up a month early. A day isn’t bad.
The stream was hosting a discussion that involved a presentation by Harvey Smith, the co-director of the original Dishonored title, and Arkane president Raph Colantonio. Smith had moved to France in 2012 to work on the title’s sequel with Arkane Lyons. Toward the end of the stream, you could actually hear someone telling the speakers that what they were talking about was actually being broadcasted over Bethesda’s Twitch stream.
Some have been attempting to reproduce the audio from the stream, while many news outlets have been served with takedown notices. So it looks like Dishonored 2 is about to be announced tomorrow during Bethesda’s E3 2015 press conference. It will go live at 6:45 pm PT.
