We all want the new consoles on the day they are released, whether you chose Xbox One or PS4. So it is no surprise that we’ve been seeing retailers selling out of pre-orders. That has now happened at Best Buy too, which is no longer accepting pre-orders for Xbox One: Day One Edition.
This edition comes with a release day delivery guarantee. A similar edition for the PS4 was also up for pre-order, and has now been sold out at Amazon. So I guess you can forget release date delivery when it comes to Best Buy at least.
GameStop and Walmart are still taking pre-orders, though we don’t know when their inventories will sell out. Best Buy is still taking pre-orders for the Standard Edition of Xbox One, if having it the day it is released doesn’t matter to you. I’m sure you won’t have much longer to wait if you order that one.
