Baby monitors are nothing new, but Belkin’s WeMo Baby is. It’s part of the company’s WeMo line of home automated devices. The WeMo Baby is a higher end version of your typical baby monitor. It’s a microphone that transmits audio from your baby’s room to up to six mobile devices as long as it is hooked up to a WiFi connection.
The WeMo Baby is only compatible with iOS devices and is powered by Evoz’s baby monitoring service. It will work on 3G, 4G or WiFi. You will be able to listen in on your baby without having to be at home, although why would you? I guess if you have a nanny or sitter and still want to check in.
The Belkin WeMo Baby will be $90 and go on sale early next month.
