Rocksteady’s Batman Arkham Knight has gamers excited and anxiously waiting for the title to launch. It was supposed to be released in October of 2014, but it was delayed several times. The good news is that because of an arrangement with Sony, PlayStation 4 owners will get exclusive access to bonus DLC content when it is available.
However it looks like it will only be a timed exclusive so this bonus DLC content may end up making its way to other platforms after some time has passed.
The game had another delay recently when Rocksteady said last month that it was delaying the release from June 2nd to June 23rd, 2015. Hopefully that will be an end to delays and the game will make it out on the new date. Making DLC content exclusive to one platform for a limited time is nothing new. It just stinks if you don’t own that platform. According to Amazon’s listing that bonus DLC content includes Scarecrow Nightmare missions, Justice League 3000 Batman, Classic TV series Batman and Classic TV Batmobile skin will all be timed exclusives until the fall of 2015.
When the exclusivity runs out it can appear on other platforms, and most likely will. At least PS4 players will get this content first and have bragging rights for a short time.
