Epic Games is teaming up with the Marvel Cinematic Universe again as the developer has teased a Fortnite and Avengers: Endgame crossover. We don’t have many details yet, aside from a start date of April 25th, which is the same day the movie hits theaters, and that it might have something to do with Captain America’s shield. Color us intrigued.
Fans will remember that there was a similar mashup around the time Avengers: Infinity War hit theaters last year. During that limited-time event, if you were lucky enough to find the Infinity Gauntlet on the island before anyone else, you’d turn into Thanos and get some special powers, including an enormous jump and a super-powered punch.
The Avengers: Endgame event will likely run for a short time too as part of a promotional campaign for the blockbuster movie, but since the movie already has killed many pre-sale records, it probably doesn’t need very much help. That’s okay, it will still be fun for fans to play. We will find out more about the latest crossover very soon. Somehow I doubt that Thanos will snap his fingers and kill half of the players, but boy wouldn’t that be a big shock?
