AT&T and NEC have announced a new rugged Android smartphone, the AT&T Terrain which will launch on AT&T today the 21st of June. The handset will be available for $99 when you sign up to a new two year contract with AT&T.
The AT&T Terrain comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and features a full QWERTY keyboard plus a 3.1 inch touchscreen display. Processing comes in the form of a dual core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.
Other specifications on the NEC Terrain include front and rear facing cameras. On the front of the handset we have a VGA camera for video chat, on the back there is a 5 megapixel camera for photos and video.
