Ubisoft’s last Assassin’s Creed title was kind of a dud. It seemed like no one really cared about it. Well, maybe in an atemppt to make things right, we have another offering. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is the next installment in Ubi’s historical stealth action franchise.
This latest game takes place in Victorian London. In a bit of a departure, this will mark the first use of multiple main characters. You can control either Jacob Frye, who is described as a “brash and rebellious” character, or his sister Evie, described as a “master of stealth”. Well, at least it sounds a bit different, although I imagine the rest of the game elements will be the same old thing.
You have to play one or the other in key story missions, but it should help add some variety to the now tired formula gameplay.
Syndicate is a single-player game. No multiplayer here. Ubisoft’s goal is to “focus on creating the biggest world” yet in Assassin’s Creed. This will be 30 percent larger than Unity and will include six key London boroughs. The game will ship on October 23rd for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and in the fall for PC gamers.
