For quite a while, Ubisoft released a new Assassin’s Creed title every year, but last year it was revealed that the company would not be returning to this annual release schedule and that 2019 would not be getting a brand new title. However, recent leaks give us a clue as to what we can expect from the franchise in 2020, Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok.
A series of leaked screenshots and details posted on the ResetEra forums and Imgur has been revealed that the next installment in the Assassin’s Creed saga could be set in the age of Vikings and called Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok. If this is all true, the developer will be Ubisoft Montreal.
It will also bring back some older features like co-op, RPG mechanics, and large scale conquest-based battles. The map will likely be split into regions like Great Britain, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
It’s a bit hard to tell what we can expect as far as graphics quality because the images are not the best. We have no official word on this, so, for now, take it with a grain of salt. Since Assassin’s Creed is taking a break in 2019, we have a long wait until we hear anything more concrete on the game.
