Archos isn’t exactly known for it’s smartphones, but they do have some experience in this market. In fact, Archos has had their share of handsets in the past, and they are continuing this tradition. Last month, Archos revealed their Archos 50 Helium Plus model, and now we are looking at the official reveal of the Archos 50d Helium.
This Android-powered smartphone has a Qualcomm processor, and will land on the market with a price of $129 each, unlocked.
The version of Android that will be running the show is Android 5.1 Lollipop. So how capable is it? Well, the Archos 50d Helium comes with LTE and dual SIM support, a 5” IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, a front-facing 5MP camera, a 13MP shooter at the back with an LED flash accompanying it, a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, and a 2100 mAh battery. Not bad. Not too bad at all.
Your color choices are Storm Blue and Stone Grey interchangeable back covers. We can expect the 50d Helium to arrive in US and Europe later this month if it seems like the phone for you. The price seems right. What do you think?
