When Apple announced their new iMac and Mac Mini, they also announced their new Fusion Drive which is a hybrid drive that features 128GB of SSD storage and either 1TB or 3TB of hard drive storage.
The guys over at TLDToday decided to test out Apple’s new Fusion Drive to see just how fast it was, the tests were performed using Apple’s new Mac Mini, one was equipped with the Fusion Drive and the other was equipped with a standard 5,400 RPM drive, have a look at the video below to see what happened.
As you can see from the video, Apple’s new Fusion Drive is considerably faster than their standard 5,400 RPM hard drive, it certainly looks like a major improvement over the standard hard drives without the extra cost of an SSD.
