Apple is expected to send out invites this week to a special event where they will reportedly unveil their new iPad Mini, the invites are expected to be sent out this Wednesday the 10th of October and the event is rumored to take place the following week on the 17th of October.
Last week we heard that manufacturers had already started supplying Apple with parts for the iPad Mini, and now according to a recent report Apple has ordered around 10 million iPad Mini’s for the fourth quarter of 2012.
The new iPad Mini is rumored to come with a 7.85 inch touchscreen display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, and the device is expected to compete with the likes of the Amazon Kindle Fire and the Google Nexus 7.
We have no idea how much Apple intends to charge for the iPad Mini, hopefully we should have some details on Apple’s new smaller iPad next week.
