If you buy an expensive Apple product like an iPhone or a MacBook, then buying AppleCare+ for it makes sense. Repairs can be expensive. But what about AppleCare+ for headphones? Apple thinks it is a good idea and has launched a new AppleCare+ plan for their headphones.
According to Apple, headphones bought from the company, like their Beats and AirPods headphones, will come with one year of hardware repair coverage and up to 90 days of complimentary support. If that isn’t enough, this plan might be for you.
It is priced at $29 and will basically extend the support for your headphones up to two years from the date of purchase. Apple says, “AppleCare+ extends your coverage to two years from your AppleCare+ purchase date and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a service fee of $29 plus applicable tax. In addition, you’ll get 24/7 priority access to Apple experts via chat or phone.”
The new AppleCare+ plan will cover the AirPods, Beats EP, Beats pro, Beats Solo3 Wireless, Beats Studio3 Wireless, the BeatsX, Powerbeats Pro, and the Powerbeats3 Wireless. If you’re interested in this new plan, head on over to Apple’s website and check out the details.
