BioWare has added a bunch of content to Anthem, but there are some omissions that could upset early fans. The 1.1.0 update adds a new Stronghold (dungeon), Sunken Cell, that gives you a new place to explore once you finish the main story. It frankly removes some of the boring stuff in the game. You can access the Forge anywhere in the world, start new missions without returning to home base and access contracts without having to pick them up separately. So now you can spend more time fighting in the game.
There’s something missing though. A few things. Like the Cataclysm event many players were expecting. We won’t hear more about the major story event until May. We also have to miss out on guilds, the mastery system, the second phase of Legendary Missions, weekly Stronghold challenges, leaderboards, and some new freeplay events.
The company says it was “talking about things too early.” Some features have missed original targets due to bugs, feedback or other “complications,”. They are launching a “Player Feedback Environment” for PC players who want to experiment with new additions as well. Sometimes you have to postpone some features until they are ready. They will give a more reliable roadmap in the future.
