The Angry Birds may not be as popular as they once were, but there are hardcore fans out there who play the game, and Rovio is continuing to support the various versions that are available, keeping those birds flying at all times. The latest update from Rovio is for Angry Birds Seasons and adds a new section to honor the NBA just before the newest basketball season starts.
The new “season” is called NBA Ham Dunk. You get 15 free levels, which will have you playing against different bad piggy teams in the “NBA Global Games”, and there are levels in Beijing, Rio de Janeiro, and more.
It also offers special stages for all 30 NBA teams, but you’ll have to spend $1.99 on an in-app purchase to get those levels. They have to make money right? They aren’t bird-brains. There are also new birds to get. There is a new Spalding Ball bird, which blows up like a balloon to take out a larger area. A new Shockwave bird which will send out an electric shock in a circle around itself to take out the pigs, which you can use at any time, even to get another shot after exhausting your birds. You can get it now for Android and iOS, but not for Windows Phone. Sorry Windows Phone users.
