Amazon Prime Now is offering customers in Seattle a new and cool feature: restaurant delivery. The idea is that the service can bring you food from participating restaurants, as long as you’re located inside a part of the city where it’s available. That probably sounds great to Seattle natives.
Using the Prime Now website, people in Seattle can enter their zip code to see if they’ll be able to have food delivered in a hour or less. It makes you wonder what Amazon will offer next.
Through the Prime Now mobile app, customers can also browse the list of available restaurants and look at menus before placing an order. Amazon has actually dabbled in restaurant delivery before. You might remember that the company tested dropping off takeout through Amazon Local last year. One thing is for sure, they are always experimenting and going forward.
If you want to give the new option a try, you can pay for meals using your data stored on Amazon and the company is waiving the delivery fees for a limited time too. If you are in Seattle it might be worth a try. If you are hungry enough anyway. Let us know how it is.
