Amazon has been busy over the past couple of weeks expanding its one-hour delivery service to a few new markets. Amazon Prime was launched in December of last year and at the time only in some parts of Manhattan. Then earlier this year they expanded the service to cover Manhattan and some parts of Brooklyn. Then it grew more, after expanding to Miami, Baltimore and Dallas. Now Amazon has announced that its one-hour delivery service is now available to the lucky folks in Atlanta.
If you don’t have it in your area yet, I’m sure it is just a matter of time until it comes to you. You can use the separate app for Amazon Prime Now to order tens of thousands of items to be delivered in under one-hour. For when you need stuff super fast. Prime Now is an added incentive to Amazon Prime members. You get two-hour delivery for free and can choose delivery in one-hour if you pay an additional $7.99.
Prime Now is launching in selected Atlanta zip codes and will be quickly expanded to cover even more zip codes in the city. Residents can download the app for iOS and Android and you will be notified automatically when Prime Now goes live in your local area. Amazon says that it will continue to expand the service to additional cities throughout the year, so stay tuned and you might be next.
