Microsoft has been saying that Windows Phone will finally overcome the “app gap” in 2014, and now we may have some info on another major app that may be coming to the Windows Phone platform soon. The news comes from a customer service rep let it slip that Amazon could be working on an Amazon Prime Instant Video app for Windows Phone.
Confirmation of the news comes from a leaked screenshot of a chat session with an Amazon customer service agent. In this chat a customer was complaining that they didn’t have an Amazon Instant Video app for their Windows Phone 8 device, and the rep responded: “We understand that the market for Windows phones is huge and have also received many requests to make Prime available on windows phone… Our Amazon Instant video team is working on this and Prime might be available on windows phones soon.”
That seems seems like very good confirmation that the app is in the works and on its way. This should make many Windows Phone users very happy. It looks like that “app gap” is closing more all the time.
