And so Amazon is bringing its free-shipping-threshold back to amount we all remember it being some time ago. This move is an apparent bid to undercut Walmart and Target, and the like. Shoppers will love having this new minimum.
Amazon has now dropped the cart total for free shipping (for those who aren’t Prime members) to $25 from the $35 amount set it had set it to in February.
This is great news for people who like to make smaller orders often. And also for those who do not have or want Amazon Prime. This change actually happened sometime last week, but Amazon didn’t made a big deal out of it and stayed quiet on the matter. But by now people are noticing. If you’ll remember, Walmart and Target’s thresholds for free shipping are cart totals of $35 or more. So this will keep Amazon competitive against these other retail giants. Even though they are Amazon they still have to keep on eye on the competition or they could slip and lose ground to their rivals.
So go ahead and place your orders for $25 and enjoy that free shipping. Itn might not be as fast as with Prime, but it benefits the user.
