Yesterday Phone Arena was sent an interesting image from an anonymous tipster. The device shown in the image is an alleged press render for the new Google Nexus 10 (2013) tablet.
Even though Samsung manufactures the current version of the Google Nexus 10, it is rumored that Asus will be the company behind this new tablet, since they are already behind the Google Nexus 7 tablet.
A few months back we heard talk about a new Nexus 10 model that would be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor instead of the dual-core Samsung Exynos that is powering the current model. Screen resolution would be 2560 x 1600, and of course Android 4.4 would be pre-installed. It is just talk with nothing confirmed.
They must have something to compete with all of the new tablet models like the newly introduced Apple iPad Air and the Nokia Lumia 2520. However, if it is going to compete, it will have to be competitive with the price and the specs. Some think that an Asus produced Nexus 10 would be based on the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T, Which is not released yet. It has a 2560 x 1600 resolution IGZO screen that gives you 13 hours of battery life, according to Asus. You can expect a Tegra 4 chipset powering the device with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage too. We will have to see what else we learn before we can judge this image.
