After being spotted travelling through the FCC late last year. Acer has today officially announced the new addition to their range of smartphones with the unveiling of their new budget friendly Android Acer Iconia B1-A71 smartphone .
The Acer Iconia B1-A71 is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor supported by 512mb of DDR3 RAM, weighs 320 grams and is equipped with a 7 inch WSVGA capacitive multitouch screen with a 1,024 x 600 resolution display.
Other features include 8GB of internal memory with a microSD expansion slot adding up to 32GB of extra space when required. Together with Wireless 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and will run Google’s latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
On the front it has a 0.3-megapixel webcam, and the Acer Iconia B1-A71 will be available with a starting price of less than $150, states Acer in their press release.

The Iconia B1 is, like its Acer family products, a device which provides the most premium experience at its price point.
