Acer has announced a new smartphone called the Liquid Zest Plus. Yes, it sounds more like laundry detergent, but naming smartphones can’t be easy these days can it? The biggest selling point of the smartphone makes up for this unfortunate name. It has a massive 5,000mAh battery.
Acer hasn’t revealed all of the specifications for this handset yet, but the big battery definitely has us interested.
Acer did confirm that the Liquid Zest Plus features a 5.5 inch display and a 13 megapixel rear camera. We don’t know which processor is powering the device, how much RAM it has and what sort of internal storage we can expect. We don’t even know if it runs Lollipop or Marshmallow. We are dealing mostly in unknowns, but one interesting fact that came out is that this smartphone features a “tri-focus” camera. Meaning that the camera uses three main autofocus systems of phase, laser, and contrast detection for superior image quality. Like the battery, this sounds great. That name though! That idea should have been shot down and buried in a deep grave.
It has a $250 price tag so you shouldn’t expect flagship level specifications.I think they want that battery to sell you on the device.
