Fans have dreamed about a Star Trek game that would put them in the Captain’s seat so they can pilot the Enterprise and explore strange new worlds. Well, soon fans will get their chance. Big things are in the works from Ubisoft. This is going to be amazing.
Ubisoft has teased Star Trek: Bridge Crew, Treks first-ever virtual reality game. The title is set in JJ Abrams’ Star Trek universe. That might not please everyone, but it looks like a great game regardless.
You can be the captain, engineer, helm or tactical stations on an Enterprise-like starship named Aegis. The shipis on a mission to resettle the Vulcan population after the planet has blown up. You will have to coordinate with the rest of your crew to explore the galaxy and fight off enemies. It is basically a Trek fans dream game. I know I can’t wait for this VR game.
Bridge Crew arrives this fall and will support both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift on PCs as well as PlayStation VR. More details will surely come soon. Ubisoft will hold an E3 press event on Monday after all. Expect this game to make big waves in VR.
