We have seen many items 3D printed items, but it is not very often that you see people print their own computer. The 3D Printed Mac Pi is a unique 3D printing project that actually houses a Raspberry Pi and a 2.8” TFT display.
It may have a tiny display, but it isn’t weak. It is capable of emulating Mac OS 7 to run old Mac Apps. The open-source design is free to download and modify, so you can try your hand at making one if you are in need of a project.
Making this 3D Printed Mac Pi would be a great weekend project for those interested in electronics and 3D printing. You can include the kids and teach them a thing or two as well. It uses Raspberry Pi Model B and a 320 x 240 resolution mini touch screen display, so this should be pretty easy-to-build.
You have a service print out the parts you need or you can use your own 3D printer. Of course you will need to do some soldering, so if you know how to do that it should be fairly simple. This should be a fun project. Building your own toys can be fun. For more details on Raspberry Pi displays and HATS jump over to our essential guide.
