Aside from one bundle, all SKUs for the Xbox One come with 500GB of internal storage. Lately, we have heard rumors that a new SKU could be introduced soon which is going to offer double the amount of internal storage, but we haven’t had a confirmation from Microsoft.
However, this is an interesting development. A retailer in Spain may have outed the 1TB Xbox One SKU. Spanish retailer Lamee Software’s website has an Xbox One model available for pre-order that has 1TB of internal storage, which is double the usual storage of 500GB. It looks like the rumors may have been true after all. We will know soon either way.
This 1TB Xbox One SKU comes without the Kinect sensor, likely because last year Microsoft unbundled the Kinect from Xbox One so sales could improve, and since then sales have improved. The listing has a list price for the 1TB Xbox One model, of 449.99 euro, with an expected release date of June 23rd.
This means that if this 1TB Xbox One really exists, it might be confirmed at E3 2015, which also takes place next month. The timing is perfect. Also, the Xbox One is expected to receive TV DVR features, so this SKU makes a lot of sense.
