Even though most people just use consoles to play games and watch Netflix and such, sometimes you just want some customization and personalization in the menus or dashboards. Something that makes yours unique. Well, we have some good news in that department. You will soon be able to customize your Xbox One’s dashboard like you could the Xbox 360.
This was confirmed during The Inner Circle podcast by Microsoft’s head of Xbox Phil Spencer. According to Spencer, features like themes and background pics are things that Microsoft has been working on, as well as the ability to take in-game screenshots. That will all be arriving in the future and I’m sure gamers will enjoy those features.
Microsoft has not been sitting idly by. They have been hard at work at releasing new updates for the console that add features that were not available at launch. You probably already know that Microsoft has included a new media player, support for external hard drives, and more. Now themes, background photos, and screenshots are on the menu. Sadly Spencer could not give a firm release date for those features, but it is just nice to know that they are on the way. It gives Xbox One owners some new things to look forward to.
