Xbox 360 Getting US-Only Paramount Movie Streaming App

Moving forward with its planned domination of the living-room, Microsoft welcomes yet another  media streaming service onto its game console. Paramount is throwing its hat into the ring next to streaming heavyweights Netflix and Hulu, offering movie rentals and purchases in both standard and high definition.

Unfortunately, restrictions apply as the app is only available in the US and there’s still the matter of the Xbox Live Gold service required for all Xbox services. If you’ve already plumbed the depths of Mirosoft’s Zune marketplace, want to use your Xbox Live subscription to its fullest extent or are just a particularly ardent fan of Paramount, this is sure to be worth a look.
