Finally Apple’s white iPhone 4 has arrived and is now available to purchase in stores. After a number of delays due to light penetration and the white paint used to finish the long awaited iPhone 4. However there does seem to be a very slight difference in thickness between the black and the new white iPhones which could cause a headache for case manufactures.
The difference was discovered by a Mac Rumours reader after their new white iPhone 4 struggled to fit into a Incase slider case. After closer inspection, it looks like Apple has increased the iPhone’s stainless steel surround, which is slightly thicker on the white iPhone.
The margins we are talking here are very small around 0.2mm so I’m sure it won’t cause ant huge problems. But it might be wise to check your new white iPhone fits correctly in any cases you might consider purchasing, before you part with your hard earned cash.
