When I got my iPhone 4S and started using Siri, I thought that the voice sounded familiar, it turns out that the UK voice of Siri was done by voice over artist Jon Briggs, who has done voice overs for a number of popular TV shows here in the UK.

Jon Briggs has been asked by Apple not to talk about his involvement with Siri, but as his voice recording which are used in Siri aren’t exclusive to Siri or Apple, as they have been used by other companies, Briggs says that his contract isn’t with Apple but the original company Scansoft.
