Viper Smart iPhone App Lets You Know When Your Car Is Being Stolen

Some of our readers will remember the Viper Smart iPhone app that we featured previously. It is basically an iPhone app that works along with some hardware that is installed in your car.

You are then able to start your car with your iPhone as well as unlock the doors. The application is getting an upgrade which will include push notifications to your iPhone.

So basically the push notification will be sent to your iPhone when your car starts or when the doors are unlocked, which could come in handy if you aren’t actually using the application, and are nowhere near your car, you will realize that someone is trying to steel it.

The Viper Smart iPhone application costs about $30, on top of that you will need to install additional hardware in the car which costs around $500, so it may be cheaper just to buy a decent car alarm.
