USB Gadgets – PNY USB flash drive comes with Ghostbusters Movie
Ghostbusters is the first Movie to be released on a USB flash drive, could this be the future way that movies will be distributed?
The PNY Ghostbusters USB flash drive features the full length version of Ghostbusters, and it comes with 2GB of storage.
The flash drive is capable of storing 12 hours of video, 33 hours of music and 1080 pictures.
The Ghostbusters movie that included is in DRM format, you are able to download the movie to your PC or laptop but the USB drive must be plugged in for the movie to play.
The PNY 2GB Ghostbusters Flash drive retails for £29.99 about $53, which is pretty expensive for a 2GB flash drive even with a movie included.
The manufacturers also seem to have missed a trick with the branding as there is no reference to Ghostbusters on the flash drive.
If the flash drives with movies included were priced right, I certainly would buy them rather than a DVD, but not if it is going to cost three times as much.
