Treadway Wearable Mobility Puts Wheels and Electric Power on Your Shoes
There are plenty of very geeky ways to get around town if you don’t want to drive or walk. You can go with one of the folding electric bikes or something really geeky like a Segway. A new design concept submitted to the James Dyson Award program called Treadway Wearable Mobility may be the geekiest of all.
This concept is a pair of wheeled contraptions that you attach to any shoes. The things have wheels on the back and are powered by an electric motor. The juice for those motors comes from rechargeable lithium batteries.

The Treadway thingies are controlled by a hand held remote. The intention is to offer something that will work on any shoes that a person can use to get that last mile between home or work and public transportation.
