Toshiba is launching a pair of new hard drives, designed for notebooks. The new hard drives will bring larger storage capacities to notebooks without sacrificing any speed or performance.
The two models are the MK7559GSXP which comes with 750GB of storage and MK1059GSM which comes with 1TB of storage. The 750GB model us the worlds largest 2.5 inch, 9.5mm high hard drive.
Both hard drive have a speed of 5,400rpm and a seek time of 12ms, Toshiba will be shipping both hard drives to notebook manufacturers shortly for testing so I am sure it wont be long before we see this turning up in notebooks.
